Re: Uppity educators; Profs blast Ford gov’t for calling them out on Israel, Oct. 22

A big thank you to Ontario’s minister of colleges and universities, Jill Dunlop, for naming and shaming professors and members of student unions for their bare-faced support for the terrorist organization Hamas and the atrocities that it committed against innocent citizens in Israel on Oct. 7.
Justin Trudeau could take a lesson from her in courage and righteous anger and condemn union executives who have shamefully condoned and cheered the brutality and butchery of Hamas in Israel.
He could take the steps that England and France have taken to stop street protests across Canada celebrating Hamas and supporting the terror, murder and hate it inflicted on innocent Jews on Oct. 7. He has done nothing, zero, zilch, once again exhibiting this government’s lack of courage, inability and lack of will to take a righteous stand.

I wish that we had more elected officials with the intestinal fortitude to stand up to all the antisemites and call them out.
Once again, thank you, Jill Dunlop, for your courage and outrage; your response has cracked open the door of hope (a smidgen) in the Canadian political class.

CONGRATS TO DUNLOP
Re: Uppity educators; Profs blast Ford gov’t for calling them out on Israel, Oct. 22
Congratulations to Jill Dunlop, Ontario’s minister of colleges and universities, for calling out these antisemitic people! They should not be allowed to influence our young people. How do they get hired in the first place?

Bruce Springsteen is 74 years young and still performing for many fans around the world. How can the letter writer attack a performer of many years of amazing music? Maybe the writer should sit in the rocking chair as they have nothing else to do except to attack others who continue living their lives.

TRIM CBC’S BUDGET INSTEAD
The prime minister wants to cut $1 billion from the military. I have a much better idea: Cut $1 billion from the CBC instead. The military is essential. We can easily do without a pumped-up CBC.
